Save the Date Wording Help

A helpful insight on how to word your save the dates...

You have picked your date and your favourite venue and now you are looking at wedding stationery. Making sure that family and friends can all be there for your special day is important. The best way to do that is by sending all your loved ones a beautiful Save the date card.

Invites by Jamie specializes in hand-drawn venue inspired wedding stationery, we also do a witty collection too if you are looking for something a little more unusual. So make sure you pick an invite that suits you and your personalised collection can be sent through to you to approve. Save the dates are you first chance to introduce your guests to your wedding style and theme, remember, you may not want to give too much away.

Do you want to start planning your Save the dates now have a look at some of the wrding ideas below and see what suits your personality or wedding theme. Save the Dates in general tend to be short and maybe slightly vague as you don't want to give everything away, that is saved for the wedding invitation.

What might you want to include;

NAMES - of the happy couple.

DATE - so your guests can add it to their diaries and make sure they do not double book!

LOCATION - so guests can start thinking about transport and accomodation.

INVITATIONS TO FOLLOW...

NO need to include,

Give away your venue name, save it as a surprise.

Time of ceremony or reception, again, same as above.

RSVP details - you don't want people replying before they can give you everything you need, like menu choices.

There are lots of ideas there, so we hope you will find something that you like or it inspires you to create your own. But remember it is your day, so you can add whatever little details you like.

Save the Date cards should be sent 6 months plus before you big day. if you are hosting your wedding on a peak holiday or have chosen a destination wedding send out your save the dates as soon as you know the date, as it is never too early.

Take care,

Jamie. x
